Tips for use:

Be sure to keep the incense holder away from any flammable materials, such as curtains, lampshades or paper.

  • Place a bed of fine sand in the bottom of the censer.

To preserve the container from oily soiling from cones and resin grains, place a bed of fine sand on which you will place your cones.

  • Place your cone in the incense holder, point up. Put the cone inside, with the flat, wide part of the cone at the bottom and its end up. If there is sand in the incense holder, be sure to place the cone flat to prevent it from tipping over.
  • Light the incense using a candle, lighter or match. Light the tip of the cone until the flame is consistent, allow the flame to burn for 5-10 seconds. That's enough.
  • Watch the tip of the cone until you see embers. Once the flame is extinguished, you should have embers on the tip of the cone. On the other hand, if there is none and the tip looks ashy, turn the tip back on and wait to see embers.
  • Turn off the flame if it burns longer than 10 seconds. The flame on your incense cone will smell smoky and therefore less pleasant. If after lighting your cone, the flame does not go out after 10 seconds, blow on it until you only have embers on the tip.
  • If your cone's ember goes out too quickly, it may not be getting enough oxygen. If your incense holder has a lid, remove it to air the cone. After fanning the cone, feel free to relight it if necessary.
  • Enjoy your incense for 20-30 minutes Incense will burn from the tip to the base of the cone. It takes about half an hour for the cone to fully burn.

Be aware that cones produce more smoke than other types of incense. The cone will self-extinguish once it burns completely.

Tips

  • To extinguish your cone, just push the tip into the sand.
  • Be sure to protect the surface under the incense holder to prevent it from burning.
  • Keep your incense cones in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Warnings

  • Do not touch the cone when lit. It will get hotter and hotter.
  • While burning, keep incense away from children and pets.
