My woody and sweet aroma takes you deeper into meditation. I take you by the hand to lay you in the arms of your soul."

Description - Summary

Palo Santo sacred wood

The Palo Santo, native to America, lives north of Peru and south of the equator. Its nickname is "Bursera Graveolens".

Warning! other countries in South America such as Bolivia, Paraguay or Argentina have appropriated the legendary name of Palo Santo for a species that is not Bursea Graveolens.

Present in shamanic rituals, the Inca and Mayan shamans already used it by burning it during religious and spiritual rituals for its purifying virtues. It was also used in indigenous wedding rituals, to chase away bad energies, to attract luck, to promote spiritual connection and to provide medicinal and therapeutic care . They also used it to relieve skin and muscle problems.

The smoke released cleans and purifies the atmosphere of places, plants, animals and of course people by transmuting negative energies. It is still used in the ceremonies and rituals of shamans, today many of our therapists have adopted it.

"Bulnesia Sarmientoi" Holy Wood or Sacred Wood to ignite present in rituals, it can also be used as Nag and Nag champa used during meditation. The Palo Santo has nothing to envy to the Champa, which has a fragrance promoting relaxation, relaxation, harmony and inner calm.

It is one of the most fragrant woods in the world that is part of these energetic cleansers of purification and protection. Ideal for relaxation and meditation, reiki sessions, and therapies, this purifier and protector, offered by Gaia, has over time achieved a status divine and source of spirituality in the hearts and minds of people around the world.

How to use the Palo Santo

How to use the Palo Santo?

Used in religious and spiritual rituals, it provides energetic protection, clears bad energy, uplifts your spirit, and fills your home with blessings. It is used by fumigation. It can be compared to white sage both in its virtues and properties and in the way it is used, with a different, sweeter and sweeter aroma. In its medicinal aspect it is close to Frankincense.

How do I burn Palo santo wood?

  • Light your rod
  • The staff ignites
  • let it burn for about 30 or even 60 seconds.
  • Then, blow gently on the flame so that it goes out and gives way to a fragrant smoke

All you have to do is let yourself be invaded and welcome the purification and the good energies. If necessary, you can blow on the embers of the sticks to maintain the smoke throughout the process.
Say aloud or silently: "I ask that the vegetable spirit of the Palo Santo infuse this space of blessings."

To cleanse, energize, bless yourself, your space or your crystals, simply let the smoke and rich scent fill the room. It is considered Satya, it is customary to move the stick following the shape of the sign of infinity (the lying eight), this anchors more respect and mindfulness in the ritual.

When you're done, place your staff in an Abalone Shell or in a rfireproof vessel. The combustion will eventually extinguish itself. Unlike conventional sticks and sticks, which burn completely after being lit, the wood self-extinguishes and can be relit many times.

Harvesting and traceability of a protected species

originating in America, how is it harvested?

The essence Bursera graveolens has been a victim of the success of its aromas and has been over-exploited to mainly supply a fruit crate market. It gave a special taste and aromatic scents, especially to mangoes. This use was banned and the gasoline placed under protection. Legal exporters of Peruvian Palo santo must be part of the national reforestation program and be active members in the field organization.

The harvest comes exclusively from naturally fallen trees and branches which are kept dead for three to five years before being worked.

For spiritual and therapeutic use, the older the wood, the better it gets. It is harvested, according to the national program, by a local population with land hosting the new seedlings, thus guaranteeing a positive socio-environmental impact.

This results in a very high quality product that is constantly surrounded by energies of love and respect.

The wood is cut manually with a machete until it reaches the irregular dimensions of sticks of about 10 cm in length. All waste and shavings are transformed into essential oil or cone.

Achamana's note

Properties of a purifying and protective natural incense

The history of Palo Santo, whose use has spanned the ages, is very beautiful. In the purifier category, it is one of the most natural and powerful. A Palo stick is deliciously fragrant, it is characterized by an aroma somewhat reminiscent of Armenian paper, and the Myrrh. It contains limonene and releases scents of citrus (lemon-orange) very present in the trunk of the tree and the roots. Its aroma is woody, sweet and suave. One could compare it to a mixture of cedar, lemon eucalyptus, sweet grass sublimated by a hint of spearmint. It is still used in indigenous ceremonies to obtain a better spiritual connection with their Gods.

In addition to its spiritual, medicinal and ethno-pharmaceutical virtues, it is an anti-anxiety and an excellent mosquito repellent. Its sweet but penetrating scent develops tenderness and sweetness. It is excellent for relaxation and meditation and in your Reiki or yoga sessions. Its perfume also promotes a very intimate atmosphere with your soul mate. This may explain its use in indigenous wedding rituals.

Some of its best known benefits include inspiration, concentration, creativity, evocation of protection, infusion of blessings and the bringing of love and good fortune. On the ethno-pharmaceutical level, it is credited with medicinal properties that relieve skin and muscle problems and anesthetic.

It is a wonderful tool to use before and during your meditation or for simple relaxation. Its invigorating scent helps you raise your vibration to establish a deeper connection with the Earth and your divine source.

It is a "heart opener", so it is also used in chakra healing sessions, in particular to balance the heart chakra. Many sophrologists and kinesiologists have adopted it in their sessions.

A sacred wood that relieves symptoms of colds, stress, headaches, anxiety, inflammation, emotional trauma and regulates or soothes the nervous system. It is also wonderful for setting and sealing your intentions by promoting your concentration and very effective for cleaning crystals and jewellery, malas and stone bracelets!

Wood processing derivatives come exclusively from waste from the cutting of Palo sticks and are in the form of oils, essential oils, cones and scales.
