The concept of "energy wheel" chakras dates back to early Hinduism and Buddhism. Hinduism describes seven primary chakras that govern our human existence.
Overview of the 7 main chakras
The basic human chakra system is made up of seven chakras that run up the line of the spine from the coccyx to the top of the skull.
