Merino wool does not have the anti-slip properties of cork, hemp, microfiber or Pu, but the hydrophobicity of this natural material allows moisture to be removed from the work surface.

To put it simply, wool is of non-polar constitution and water, humidity is made of polar molecules which manifest a repulsive effect towards non-polar molecules. The drops formed escape from the wool material.

Although it has less grip and cushioning than our other dynamic yoga mats, it is appreciated by many Vinyasa, Ashtanga or Hatha yoga practitioners . Some use it for the whole session, others only during Savasana.

How to take care of your merino yoga mat?

• After each session, hang it up somewhere out of direct sunlight to ventilate it in the open air before storing it.
• Every three to four sessions, wipe the surface with a cloth soaked in an organic solution made from distilled water and a few drops of essential oil such as Tea tree and/or Lavender.
• Dry cleaning possible in a dry cleaner
